14.06.2007 Dopo l'uccisione, lunedì scorso, della cooperante Elsa Serfass di 27 anni di Medici senza Frontiere (Msf) nel nord-ovest della Repubblica Centrafricana, l'organizzazione umanitaria ha sospeso tutte le attività mobili nella zona. "Il futuro delle nostre operazioni di soccorso nella regione dipenderà dal risultato delle discussioni con tutte le parti in conflitto e dalla successiva valutazione circa la possibilità di potere continuare a lavorare". I responsabili dichiarati dell'uccisione della cooperante sono miliziani del movimento ribelle ‘Esercito popolare per la restaurazione della democrazia’ (Aprd) che erano stati informati dell’arrivo in zona della missione. Anche il responsabile dell’Ufficio per il coordinamento degli Affari umanitari delle Nazioni Unite (Ocha) aveva comunicato ieri l’interruzione delle attività umanitarie dell’ONU nel nord-ovest.
