Il Cimi chiede l'adozione immediata di misure effettive a favore dei 235 popoli indigeni del Brasile. Anche l'ONU critica la politica brasiliana per gli indigeni. APM e il CIMI chiedono al nuovo Governo brasiliano di adeguarsi agli obblighi dettati dalla Convenzione ILO 169 per il pieno rispetto dei diritti umani e delle libertà fondamentali dei popoli indigeni.
