E' atteso per domani l'arrivo ad Honiara del contingente della missione multinazionale guidata dall'Australia chiesta dal governo di Salomone per ristabilire l'ordine nell'arcipelago in preda a bande di miliziani. Protettorato britannico fino al 1978, le isole non hanno superato la guerra civile (1998-2000) che ha gettato il Paese in stato di bancarotta.
