06.10.2005 Afrikan sarvea ja Arabian niemimaata erottava Adeninlahti on yleensä verrattain tyyni lokakuusta maaliskuulle. Jemenissä se aiheuttaa huolta, sillä hyvä purjehduskeli tapaa tuoda pakolaistulvan Somaliasta. Moni Adeninlahden ylittäjä aikoo jatkaa matkaa Saudi-Arabiaan ja muihin Persianlahden maihin, mutta rantautuminen tapahtuu 20 miljoonan asukkaan Jemenissä, jossa on jo entuudestaan noin puoli miljoonaa pakolaista.

Pääkaupunki Sana´a kasvaa jopa yhdeksän prosentin vuosivauhdilla.

"But if we succeed in convincing you of our ideas, then you must agree to renounce violence." Two years later, a relative peace reigns in the country, and many are crediting the "theological dialogues."

16.12.2004 Jemenillä on suuri työ väestönkasvunsa jarruttamisessa.
