27.08.2007 India has agreed to assist Nepal in reconstruction of services and training centres that were destroyed during the Maoist insurgency and shown willingness to produce skilled manpower in the agriculture sector during a recent meeting of the agriculture ministers of the two countries.

21.08.2007 International Press Freedom and Freedom of Expression Mission to Nepal have welcomed the endorsement of the Right to Information Act and Working Journalists Act amendments, in Nepal. They also said that it commends those journalists and media that have advocated for legislative reform and defended press freedoms.
