YK:n avustusjärjestöt lopettavat hätäavun toimittamisen Libanoniin ja keskittyvät nyt YK:n kehitysohjelman UNDP:n johdolla maan jälleenrakentamiseen. Sota aiheutti hallituksen arvion mukaan 3,6 miljardin dollarin vahingot, mutta jälleenrakennus nähdään myös mahdollisuutena vahvistaa maan demokratiaa, vakautta ja kehitystä.
