New laws requiring the registration of U.S. residents from 5 Muslim countries are discriminatory and will not enhance U.S. security, a Japanese American group said yesterday, recalling the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. 700 Muslims were arrested in California this week as they registered under the new law.
