Poche immagini come quelle dei bambini israeliani che firmano i proiettili che i cannoni spareranno sul Libano dal Nord di Israele, parlano del senso della guerra, delle sue ragioni e delle sue implicazioni. Con la guerra bisognerebbe fare sul serio. Queste immagini ridisegnano la presunzione di innocenza e la divisione tra buoni e cattivi. Sappiamo molto poco, troppo poco, delle ragioni della guerra e delle vie della pace, per esprimere indicazioni che non siano morali. (...) La critica alle posizioni pacifiste orientate a dire sempre no e solo no alla guerra, porta Sofri a sostenere che la negazione di qualunque impiego della forza militare nei luoghi di crisi č uno slogan infantile. Cosģ come, criticando Gino Strada, Sofri definisce una sciocchezza colossale sostenere, come Strada fa, che a Kabul oggi si sta peggio che sotto i taliban. La virulenza della critica di Sofri č evidente. Le sue implicazioni molto significative. Se vi č inefficacia nelle posizioni dei mestieranti della pace a parole, probabilmente dipende non dal fatto che dicono no alla guerra, ma dal loro limitarsi a dire no, per una questione di principio.

The European Commission published the mandates for negotiations on visa regime alleviation and readmission agreements with Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The mandates provide for much simpler and quicker procedure, as well as issuance of multiple entry visas covering longer periods of time for students, researchers, artists and business-people, for travel into the EU.

As reported by monitor.hr and index.hr portals, the billboards with a photo of the personal ID card of Mayor Milan Bandic, posted all over Zagreb and advertising the start of the Youth Salon, were found this morning covered with big photos of Bandic himself, crossed with red paint.
