In March 2006, Zubaan, an Indian feminist publishing house, held an exhibition in New Delhi, of over 1500 posters together depicting the Indian Women's movement since the 1970s. Poster Women is set to open at Bangalore in November 2006. It will then travel to Chennai in December, and from there to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Calcutta.

03.05.2006 Autorsko pravo prije svega znači pravo autora da određuje uvjete pod kojima se njegovo djelo može koristiti, a licenca je dokument kojim autor iskazuje te uvjete u pravnom obliku. Tako svaki autor načelno može odrediti i da se njegovo djelo može slobodno dijeliti ili čak koristiti kao javno dobro. Ipak, suvremena praksa je takva da se, ukoliko autor ili proizvođač djela izričito ne odredi drugačije, tj. ako ne odredi nikakve uvjete pod kojima njegovo djelo može koristiti, pretpostavlja kako ti uvjeti glase: “Zabranjeno je neovlašteno kopiranje, reproduciranje i javno izvođenje. Sva prava pridržana.”

Creative Commons je obuhvatno rješenje za licenciranje autorskih djela kao javno dostupnih i otvorenih sadržaja. Ono pojednostavnjuje postupak kojim autor može na pravno valjan način odrediti veće slobode za korisnika od onih restriktivnih koje postoje automatski ukoliko se autor ne izjasni drugačije, budući da bi ovakvo iskazivanje volje od strane autora, kada bi ga autor morao izvesti posve sam, zahtijevalo vrlo kompleksan pravni postupak. Na web stranici creativecommons.org autor može odabrati prava koja želi ustupiti te dobiva licencu koja na pravno valjan način izražava odabrane uvjete. Pritom je moguće djelo unijeti i u registar ili pohraniti u neki od javnih arhiva na Internetu, čime ono postaje lakše dostupno korisnicima u potrazi za slobodnim sadržajima.
