After the San Francisco spill.
14.11.2007 SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 14 (OneWorld) - Environmentalists are calling for an international ban on bunker fuel, a particularly noxious petroleum product used to power most ocean-going cargo ships, including those responsible for massive spills this week in the Black Sea and San Francisco Bay.

Over 900 new cars run on Delhi roads daily
07.11.2007 The latest analysis from Delhi based Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) warns of critical levels of air pollution in the capital. The exponential growth of private vehicles, particularly diesel ones, has defeated the gains from its earlier CNG drive when diesel buses in the city were phased out to check pollution.

Riduciamo la CO2" è il titolo scelto per la seconda edizione della Settimana di Educazione allo Sviluppo Sostenibile, che si tiene dal 5 all’11 novembre 2007 sotto l’egida della Commissione Italiana per l’UNESCO. La settimana propone oltre 205 iniziative in piazze, scuole e sedi istituzionali per sensibilizzare i cittadini su problema estremamente grave. "La drammatica urgenza della lotta ai cambiamenti climatici è ormai ampiamente percepita, ma tale presa di coscienza non è ancora accompagnata da un concreto mutamento degli stili di vita e dei sistemi produttivi" - afferma l'Unesco. E dal 7 al 10 novembre a Rimini si tiene l'undicesima edizione di Ecomondo, la Fiera internazionale del recupero di materiale ed energie dello sviluppo sostenibile.
