25.06.2007 Kiina on julkaissut oman ilmasto-ohjelman kasvihuonekaasupäästöjen rajoittamiseksi. Ohjelman puittessa Kiina pyrkii parantamaan tuntuvasti energiatehokkuutta sekä lisäämään uusiutuvien energialähteiden käyttöä. Kiina on mukana Kioton sopimuksessa, mutta sillä ei kehitysmaana ole sitovia tavoitteita päästöjen rajoittamiseksi.

G8 summit 2007- a failure
11.06.2007 GCAP sees the G8 summit 2007 as ushering in new global economic apartheid. The coalition of international NGOs also says that the $60 billion that has been pledged may not be honoured as three leaders - Putin, Blair and Bush - may not hold office for very long and their successors may not deliver on these pledges.

Issue of climate change a big question mark in G8 2007
08.06.2007 The climate change accord reached by the G8 countries at the German resort town of Heiligendamm has brought forth mixed reactions. Even as the G8’s initiative in engaging the five emerging economies – Brazil, China, India, South Africa and Mexico – over the issue has been welcomed, many feel that the rich nations are still evading their historical responsibilities.
