Kansainvälinen WWF on tyrmistynyt Suomen kielteisestä suhtautumisesta EU:n päästövähennyssuunnitelmiin. Euroopan komissio on esittänyt EU:n kasvihuonekaasujen vähentämistä 20 prosentilla vuoteen 2020 mennessä. WWF korostaa, ettei ilmastonmuutoksen hidastaminen vaaranna EU-maiden kilpailukykyä, päinvastoin. Samalla se ihmettelee, aikooko Suomi torpedoida oman maineensa modernina, ympäristönsuojelua ja korkeaa teknologiaa ajavana maana.
