12.10.2007 The Nobel Peace Prize 2007has been jointly awarded to Al Gore and the UN's IPCC for their efforts to build and disseminate knowledge about man-made climate change. IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri hopes the award would bring a "greater awareness and a sense of urgency" to the fight against global warming.
