22.12.2006 Deltathree Ltd., a licensed Macedonian telephone services operator, signed a partnership agreement with “Peoplecall”, prominent Spanish telephone services provider. The agreement secures Deltathree a full access to Peoplecall’s infrastructure and networks.

Sostanze tossiche
20.12.2006 E' stato approvato nei giorni scorsi in via definitiva il nuovo Regolamento Europeo sulle sostanze chimiche (REACH), "ma sono troppe le scappatoie per l'industria" - denunciano numerose associazioni tra cui il WWF. Il Regolamento, destinato a sostituire la legislazione europea nata pił di 40 anni fa, avvia l’Europa verso un nuovo approccio alla regolamentazione delle sostanze chimiche. Ora si apre la fase dell'implementazione anche in Italia dove le associazioni evidenziano che permane una sottovalutazione, sia politica sia industriale, sull'importanza dei nuovi adempimenti previsti dal REACH. E annunciano che si batteranno per ottenere una piena attuazione della riforma, affinché il nostro Paese recuperi i ritardi accumulati.

Inquinamento del Mediterraneo - da ecomediamagazine
05.12.2006 Raffinerie di petrolio, industria metallurgica, allevamenti industriali, impianti per la produzione di fertilizzanti, industria chimica e della carta e anche il trattamento delle acque reflue. Queste, in ordine di importanza, le industrie che contribuiscono maggiormente a inquinare il Mediterraneo, sversando nel mare veri e propri veleni che minacciano l’ambiente e la salute umana: metalli pesanti, sostanze tossiche persistenti, idrocarburi. Nei pesci č stata riscontrata, ad esempio, una quantitą di mercurio anche 20 volte superiore ai limiti stabiliti dall’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanitą. Mentre l’UNEP/MAP stima che l’assunzione giornaliera di idrocarburi policiclici aromatici attraverso il cibo sia in alcune localitą del Mediterraneo di 3 microgrammi al giorno per individuo: una quantitą 100 volte superiore a quella ritenuta tollerabile quotidianamente. I dati, presentati nei giorni scorsi durante la Terza Conferenza Ministeriale Euro-mediterranea che si č tenuta al Cairo (Egitto), sono stati raccolti dal MEDPOL, il programma per la lotta all’inquinamento marino del Piano d’Azione Mediterraneo del Programma Ambiente delle Nazioni Unite - UNEP/MAP.
