24.08.2007 Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) is extending the Competition deadline to 9 September 2007. The Competition is part of GKP’s ongoing programme in the area of youth-led social enterprises. It is fully web-based and open to applicants worldwide until the (extended) closing on 9 September 2007. 100 winners selected by an international online jury will be announced on 20 October 2007.

05.08.2007 WASHINGTON, Aug 5 (OneWorld) - Breastfeeding within the first hour of life can drastically reduce the number of early childhood deaths in developing countries, the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) said this week, adding that more than one third of child deaths occur during "the first fragile month of life."

03.08.2007 Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP) has announced that more than 225 young entrepreneurs have logged onto www.globalknowledge.org/ysef07 to apply for the Global Young Social Entrepreneurs' Competition. According to the GKP the response indicates immense interest social entrepreneurship that harnesses ICT.
