Manifestazione contro la privatizzazione dell'acqua
12.10.2006 "La nuova legge sull'acqua della Regione Lombardia deve essere cancellata". È' questo il commento del Comitato Italiano del Contratto Mondiale sull'Acqua alla notizia che il Consiglio dei Ministri di venerdì 6 ottobre ha deciso di ricorrere per incostituzionalità contro la legge sui servizi pubblici - tra cui appunto l'acqua - approvata dal Consiglio Regionale della Lombardia a fine luglio. La legge regionale n. 18/2006 prevede per gli ATO (Ambiti Territoriali Ottimali, coincidenti coi territori delle province) l'obbligo di separare l'erogazione dalla gestione dei servizi idrici, creando nuovi "carrozzoni" e moltiplicando i Consigli di Amministrazione. Ma quel che è peggio obbliga, unica in Italia, a mettere a gara l'erogazione dei servizi idrici, cioè il core business dell'acqua. Contro questi due aspetti, il Governo Prodi, su iniziativa del Ministro Paolo Ferrero, ha deciso di impugnare la legge lombarda per incostituzionalità.
