Na osnovu rada u porodicama i na osnovu rezultata radionica sa roditeljima, Inicijativa strucnjaka za pomoc ometenoj deci VelikiMali ocenila je da je informisanost o postojećim ustanovama, udruženjima, savezima, pravnim regulativama nešto što su naveli da im je nedostajalo u prvim godinama suočavanja sa "tim" što se dešava njihovom detetu, obzirom da je to bilo nešto što su i sami potiskivali da prihvate. Prvo izdanje pravnog vodiča - "Vodič za roditelje ometene dece kroz oblasti prava, socijalne i zdravstvene zaštite, obrazovanja i brige o deci" objavljeno je 2002. u sklopu projekta "Ispitivanje položaja dece sa posebnim potrebama u opštini Pančevo".

Specijalni predstavnik OEBS-a za borbu protiv trgovine ljudima Helga Konrad zatražila je reviziju mehanizama u borbi protiv trgovine ljudima. Obraćajući se učesnicima konferencije u Beogradu, u organizaciji Misije OEBS-a u Srbiji i Crnoj Gori, izjavila je da se međunarodna zajednica nalazi na raskrsnici u borbi protiv trgovine ljudima.

The campaign for protection of children and minors from Traffickers in Human Beings was started by the UK based Save the Children organization, has the goal to start a synchronized action for early prevention of trafficking in children.

Save the Children Norway, in cooperation with UNICEF B&H, conducted a survey on trafficking in children in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the activities of the project is the “Lean on Me” theatrical play, written by Bosnian writer Ferida Durakovic. The roles in the play are acted by child-actors younger than 15.

Kampanja za zaštitu maloletnika od trgovaca ljudima britanske organizacije Save the children ima za cilj pokretanje sinhronizovane akcije na ranoj prevenciji trgovine decom. U prva tri meseca 2005. nevladina organizacija Astra registrovala je 31 žrtvu trgovine ljudima u Srbiji od kojih je 15 bilo maloletno.

A poco piů di un anno dal Children's World Congress on Child Labour di Firenze, il 28 e 29 maggio l’organizzazione Mani Tese lancia la mobilitazione nazionale Global March per il 2005 che non poteva dimenticare gli Obbiettivi del Millennio (MDGs) e gli appuntamenti internazionali che verranno dedicati alla verifica di questi impegni. Come si puň pensare di raggiungere gli MDGs se nel mondo ci sono 246 milioni di minori sfruttati? Per questo Mani Tese lancia una petizione per chiedere che l'eliminazione dello sfruttamento dell'infanzia e l'istruzione universale diventino prioritarie nella strategia di lotta alla povertŕ. “Parlare di lotta allo sfruttamento dell'infanzia vuol dire spezzare necessariamente il circolo vizioso povertŕ - sfruttamento - analfabetismo e ancora povertŕ” viene precisato dai promotori della petizione.

U Brčko distriktu registrovano je pedeset troje djece bez roditeljskog starateljstva. Da bi odrastali u normalnom socijalom okruženju većina njih prihvaćena je u takozvane hraniteljske porodice. Kako unaprijediti hraniteljstvo uopšte , poboljšati status i olakšati život djeci bez roditeljskog staranja, pitanja su na koja se u Distriktu uvijek i iznova traže odgovori.

Today, on the National Orphans’ Day in Albania, an initiative was presented by a group of Albanian businessmen to open 460 saving accounts for children without parents and parental care. The ceremony was held at the Congress Palace in Tirana.

Due to outstanding public and Senatorial opposition, Steven Johnson, the nominated EPA Administrator, canceled the intentional pesticide exposure study using babies as subjects. Titled CHEERS, this study, partially funded by the pesticide industry, was slated to use children aged 0-3 as test subjects.
