The recent G8 meeting in London concluded to cancel 100% of the debt of 18 developing nations owed to multilateral institutions and developed nations. This sounds too good to be true, is there some hidden strings that will catch us unawares and tangle us in a web of dependency again?

As a journalist, any kind of oppression of the media saddens me profoundly. My heart is heavy as I read, hear and watch the media oppressions in Zimbabwe. I ask myself, is too much to ask if we can only work in a conducive environment in our quest to provide information?

Economic revolution and conflict resolution
more...It is encouraging to note that African leaders have endorsed the road map to economic revolution for Africa through NEPAD at the just ended African Union heads of states summit in Maputo, Mozambique.
