Pohjoismaiset kansalaisjärjestöt käynnistävät nyt kampanjan, joka vetoaa hallituksiin turvapaikanhakijoiden tilanteen parantamiseksi.

Resta alta la tensione in Nord Kivu dove scontri a fuoco sono proseguiti nel fine settimana tra miliziani fedeli al generale dissidente filoruandese Laurent Nkunda e alcuni gruppi armati presenti nell’est della Repubblica democratica del Congo (RDC): lo riferiscono fonti dell’agenzia Misna. Da fine agosto la regione del Nord Kivu è teatro di combattimenti tra l’esercito regolare (Fardc) e insorti del generale Laurent Nkunda. Nei giorni scorsi è stato raggiunto un "cessate il fuoco", ma la popolazione continua a fuggire a causa della recente tornata di scontri tra forze governative, ribelli e milizie che hanno rifiutato l’integrazione nell’esercito regolare. L’Unhcr riporta che nell'area di Mugunga si trovano numerosi campi veri e propri e luoghi di raccolta improvvisati che ospitano almeno 35mila persone sfollate e il numero continua ad aumentare.
