Zone libere da sfratti - da Allianace of Inhabitants
31.03.2005 Il 31 marzo scade il differimento degli sfratti per le famiglie con sfratto esecutivo composte da anziani ultrasessantacinquenni e portatori di handicap con redditi bassissimi. Per l’Unione Inquilini “il Governo Berlusconi intende procedere speditamente negli sfratti” e per richiamare l’attenzione ha organizzato un presidio di fronte a Palazzo Chigi per chiedere la proroga effettiva degli sfratti per almeno un anno con assicurazione di passaggio da casa a casa. A Roma il Presidente del X Municipio ha emanato un'ordinanza di blocco degli sfratti dichiarando il territorio “Libero da sfratti” e ordinando un'ulteriore proroga degli stessi sfratti. A Milano gli attivisti di "Action Milano" hanno scaricato in P.zza Duomo un tavolo, una cucina a gas e due letti per richiamare al dramma in cui rischiano 15mila famiglie a Milano. Anche i sindacati dei pensionati Spi Cgil - Fnp Cisl e Uilp Uil lanciano l’allarme e chiedono al Governo un’ulteriore proroga.

30.03.2005 At the risk of his life, Pius Ncube, Archbishop of Zimbabwe's second largest city, is calling on his countrymen to organize a popular non-violent uprising, like Ukraine's "Orange Revolution," to topple President Robert Mugabe. Similar statements from a political leader would certainly result in imprisonment, but Mugabe is hesitant to take on the church, reports veteran Zimbabwe correspondent Trevor Grundy.

30.03.2005 Najbolji salterski sluzbenik u mjesecu martu odabrace se u petak, kazala je sekretar za lokalnu samoupravu Opstine Podgorica, Mirjana Barovic. U akciji «Biramo najboljeg opstinskog sluzbenika» ucestvuje 17 salterskih radnika, devet iz Maticne sluzbe, a osmoro iz gradskih sekretarijata koje imaju saltere u sali. Akciju je organizovalo Udruzenje za demokratski pravni poredak u saradnji sa Opstinom Podgorica.

30.03.2005 The Theatre Society DASKA, from Sisak, was established in 1976. Ever since the Croatian Rights Party (HSP) entered the local government in 2002, DASKA doesn’t receive any funding for its programmes by the city, in spite of the fact that it applies in all competitions for funding. For the past seven years, DASKA survives solely on the financing it receives by the Ministry of Culture.

29.03.2005 A ten-day period to update voter rolls began Monday, as elections to replace the country's late president are scheduled for April 24, but only young people between the ages of 18 and 20 are being allowed to register, according to reports. Free and fair elections cannot be arranged in such a short period of time, opposition supporters said at a weekend rally.

29.03.2005 President Robert Mugabe has pulled out all the stops before elections in Zimbabwe Thursday, spending US$100 million of the state's money on Hewlett Packard laptops that he passes out at schools as he campaigns across the country. Meanwhile, many of the schools receiving the high-tech computers have been without textbooks, electricity, furniture or even roofs for many years.

29.03.2005 Last week, MANS organized a public debate in Budva, to discuss the problem of corruption in Montenegro. Citizens believe that poverty is one of the main reasons for the prevalence of corruption, and complained about the lack of clear political will to fight the corruption.

29.03.2005 MANS je prosle nedelje u Budvi odrzao javnu raspravu o problemu korupcije u Crnoj Gori. Gradjani Budve su konstatovali da je siromastvo jedan od kljucnih uzroka korupcije koja cesto ugrozava cak i puku egzistenciju najsiromasnijih slojeva drustva, sto ih tjera da postanu saucesnici u korupciji i na taj nacin pokusaju ostvariti svoja osnovna ljudska prava.
