Colombia: Manifestazione per Carlos Gaviria - da Selvas
27.05.2006 Domani 28 maggio la Colombia si appresta a riconfermare alla presidenza della Repubblica Alvaro Uribe, che ha modificato la Costituzione per farsi rinnovare il mandato. Continua il balletto delle cifre in merito alle elezioni presidenziali. Secondo l’agenzia di sondaggi “Invamer Gallup”, mentre fino a poche settimane fa Uribe veniva indicato come vincitore gią nella prima tornata con almeno il 61% delle preferenze, ora potrebbe vedersi costretto al ballottaggio a causa di una progressiva perdita di consensi. Sono infatti in ascesa le intenzioni di voto per il candidato del Polo democratico alternativo, Carlos Gaviria, poiché, ha sottolineato, “il suo programma politico č orientato verso temi di carattere umanitario”. Il consenso al Presidente Uribe, a pochi giorni dalla data delle elezioni, si aggirerebbe attorno al 50% o poco pił”, mentre Gaviria godrebbe dell’appoggio di circa il 24% degli elettori. Terzo il candidato del partito liberale, Horacio Serpa, con il 10%.

25.05.2006 The media campaign for the Montenegro Referendum was conducted correctly, but in the field work of the activists a number of inadequate actions were registered that could qualify as pressure on the voters, states the CEMI Centre for Monitoring in its Final Report on the Monitoring of Referendum Process. The Report provides a global evaluation of the overall referendum campaign, the work of the referendum bodies, as well as the conduct of the actual ballot day and the atmosphere after the results were announced.

Contra ele, o principal nome é o de Lopéz Obrador que apesar de aparecer como um candidato de esquerda sofre a crķtica de setores mais radicais que o consideram moderado demais.
