Na ovakav su je potez natjerali snažni pritisci iz Crkve na nju i njenu obitelj.

Human Rights Watch Report 2007
29.05.2007 Human Rights Watch, an independent NGO, released its World Report 2007, disclosing facts on human rights developments in 2006 in more than 75 nations. The report enclosed articles on the European Union, freedom of expression since 9/11, the plight of migrant domestic workers, and a human rights agenda for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.

16.05.2007 A group of Macedonian non-governmental organizations give their full support and solidarity to Iso Rusi, journalist and president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Macedonia, related to the attacks and threats that the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) sent to his address provoked by his recent op-ed, titled “Gospodin Gospodin Thaqi” (Gospodin Gospodin is the official title of the archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church), published in “Koha” daily newspaper.

09.05.2007 WASHINGTON, May 9 (IPS) - In the run-up to the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Pentagon planned to create a 'Rapid Reaction Media Team' (RRMT) designed to ensure control over major Iraqi media while providing an Iraqi 'face' for its efforts, according to a 'White Paper' obtained by the independent National Security Archive (NSA) which released it Tuesday.

Polizia nelle strade di Pechino - da Amnesty
03.05.2007 Nonostante l’adozione di significative riforme in tema di pena di morte e di nuove regole per i giornalisti stranieri, Amnesty International denuncia scarsi miglioramenti per i diritti umani in altri ambiti collegati alle Olimpiadi, in un contesto di crescente repressione nei confronti degli attivisti per i diritti umani e dei giornalisti locali. In vista dei Giochi olimpici del 2008, Amnesty International segnala tra l’altro l’aumento dell’uso della detenzione senza processo almeno nella capitale Pechino. Amnesty ha trasmesso il proprio rapporto di valutazione al governo di Pechino e al Comitato olimpico internazionale (Cio), evidenziando come i temi trattati siano strettamente collegati all’organizzazione delle Olimpiadi e ai principi fondamentali della Carta olimpica, in particolare la “salvaguardia della dignitą umana”.
