He heads the Haitian Journalists’ Association and is a dedicated defender and promoter of journalists’ rights.

Priopćenje o navedenim slučajevima će, kako najvljuju, biti poslano na adrese svih bitnih institucija u Hrvatskoj kao i Evropske te Međunarodne federacije novinara.

Il 27 settembre scorso il tribunale di Messina ha condannato lo storico siciliano Carlo Ruta ad otto mesi di carcere. Carlo Ruta, autore del sito www.leinchieste.com, è un giornalista catanese che negli ultimi anni si è occupato di importanti casi di cronaca (a partire dal caso del giornalista Giovanni Spampinato, assassinato dalla mafia) e degli intrecci tra politica, mafia ed economia nel siciliano. Durissimo il comunicato stampa dell'Associazione PeaceLink, ad oggi, almeno da quel che vediamo, l'unica voce di rilevanza nazionale ad essersi levata in difesa di Carlo Ruta. Due i punti salienti evidenziati dal comunicato stampa. Il primo riguarda la situazione dell'informazione antimafia, a rischio dopo vari episodi come quelli di Carlo Ruta. PeaceLink ricorda quelli di Umberto Santino, presidente del Centro di Documentazione siciliana 'Peppino Impastato' e di Marco Benanti, ex direttore responsabile del portale Erroneo.org.

The central news programme of Croatian TV (link http://www.hrt.hr www.hrt.hr) aired a story last Friday, September 29, on the secret agreement between the Government and Deutsche Telecom on the sale of Croatian Telecom (HT) in 1999, which gives HT exclusive right of exploitation of the complete telecommunications infrastructure in the country, including the underground network of distribution-telecommunication channels (DTC).
