29.06.2005 Svetska banka vo vtornikot objavi deka i odobrila kredit od 17.5 milioni dolari na Albanija za cistenje na obalata. namenskiot kredit ke se koristi vo narednite sedum godini za "zastita na albanskoto obalno i priobalno podracje, kako i za zastite na kulturnite dobra i promocija na odrzliv razvoj na albanskata obala", izjavile pretstavnicita na Svetska banka vo Tirana.

28.06.2005 Svjetska banka u utorak je objavila kako je Albaniji odobrila kredit od 17.5 miliona dolara (14.45 miliona Eura) u svrhu čišćenja obale. Kredit je namijenjen da se koristi u sljedećih sedam godina za ''zaštitu Albanskog obalnog prirodnog blaga i kulturnih dobara te promovira održivi razvoj albanske obale,'' izjavili su Tiranski dužnosnici Svjetske banke. Organizacijska komisija odobrila je kredit ovog utorka.

27.06.2005 Il pił grande bacino turistico d'Europa č minacciato dalla concentrazione lungo le coste di attivitą altamente inquinanti quali le industrie petrolchimiche e le raffinerie, la costruzione di centrali termoelettriche, un'agricoltura con forte impiego di sostanze chimiche, l'eccessiva concentrazione di impianti per la produzione zootecnica a carattere industriale lungo i corsi d'acqua principali (a partire dal Po, che scarica in Adriatico il 40% delle acque reflue del territorio italiano), l'aumento esponenziale degli insediamenti civili e produttivi, gli intensi traffici di sostanze pericolose (specialmente di idrocarburi), gli inquinamenti provenienti da terra e dal largo, la crescente urbanizzazione, l'erosione delle coste, l'eutrofizzazione, hanno messo in serio pericolo l'habitat naturale, la biodiversitą, la qualitą ambientale, nonché i vari aspetti delle economie marittime e costiere. E' l'appello della due giorni di Goletta Verde nel porto di Marina di Ravenna.

24.06.2005 La Commissione Europea ha sottoposto al Consiglio dei ministri dell'ambiente la proposta di eliminare i divieti nazionali alle produzioni agricole ogm. Se il Consiglio dei ministri dell'ambiente non raggiunge la maggioranza qualificata per bloccare la proposta della Commissione, questa potrą confermare la sua domanda di cessazione del bando. Ma i ministri dovranno considerare che il rapporto confidenziale della Monsanto sugli effetti negativi del mais Ogm MON863 sulla salute dei topi che č stato reso pubblico da Greenpeace. Il giudizio rappresenta un precedente per le aziende che cercano di tenere nascoste le analisi di rischio sulle piante Ogm. In questi anni, grazie alla forte opposizione, il numero di nuove autorizzazioni č sceso. Tra i paesi che hanno dato pił spazio ai prodotti ogm ci sono la Cina, l'India e il Brasile che č stato il primo maggior produttore ad approvare una legge per l'uso di sementi ogm. Ma il porto brasiliano di Paranagua prosegue nel suo bando all'esportazione di soia ogm deciso a maggio, nonostante la decisione della Corte suprema dell'aprile scorso.

The Yamuna emerges from the Himalayas
23.06.2005 The Indian Ministry of Environment and Forests has initiated a unique project to educate pilgrims in five holy cities about the importance of protecting and preserving rivers. The pilgrims have been targeted because part of the pollution in Indian rivers is believed to be caused by religious offerings and immersion of idols. Rahul Kumar reports about river Yamuna from New Delhi.

23.06.2005 Euroopan komission juuri julkistamasta tilastosta käy ilmi että Suomi ei ole onnistunut vähentämään päästöjään toivotulla tavalla. Tilaston mukaan vain kolme EU:n jäsenmaata on epäonnistunut ilmastopolitiikassaan yhtä pahasti kuin Suomi, vaikka Suomen päästötavoite on henkeä kohti EU:n korkeimpia. Järjestöjen mukaan myös valmisteilla oleva kansallinen energia- ja ilmastostrategia on kunnianhimoton.
