30.05.2007 World Bank prepares the grant and loan fund scheme for supporting the development acceleration of the industry wood plantation, including pulpwood plantation. The World Bank Strategy pushes the people involvement in the community plantation scheme, without fixing the partnership model which during this time is valid in forestry and plantation sectors, when the World Bank through ADB (Asian Development Bank) is also involved.

18.05.2007 Usaha Pemerintah untuk mencari utang baru dalam pertemuan tahunan ADB pada tanggal 4-7 Mei 2007 di Jepang tidak relevan. Pelaksanaan proyek yang didanai oleh utang ADB hampir semuanya tidak dapat diserap sesuai dengan target. Bahkan, beberapa proyek tidak terserap sama sekali (0%).

14.05.2007 Mr. Rahmat Waluyanto (Director General of Debt Management), Ir. Arman Mallolongan (Director General for Forest Protection and Nature Conservation), and Mr. Wolfgang Kroh (Managing Director of KfW, German Development Bank) will sign a new Debt Swap for Nature Agreement. According to this agreement, the Ministry of Forestry will use the counterpart funds of this Debt Swap (approx.70 billion rupiah) to protect the rain forest in Sumatra.

Il rapporto di Concord
11.05.2007 I fondi che l'Italia ha devoluto in aiuti reali pubblici allo sviluppo (APS) sono diminuiti negli ultimi due anni del 41%: lo documenta il rapporto lanciato oggi da Concord, l'organismo europeo che riunisce oltre 1.600 Ong. L'Italia si colloca così in ultima posizione tra i 15 membri UE che nel 2002 avevano stabilito di dedicare all'APS lo 0,33% del Pil. Il Cini (Coordinamento Italiano Network Internazionali) ribadisce che è necessario un radicale e immediato cambiamento da parte del Governo italiano se si intende onorare gli impegni e raggiungere l'obiettivo dello 0,7% entro il 2015 nel rapporto APS/Pil sottoscritto dal nostro Paese per il raggiungimento degli "Obiettivi del Millennio" delle Nazioni Unite. Nei giorni scorsi ActionAid in un rapporto sulla cooperazione allo sviluppo italiana rilevava che "ad un anno dall’avvio della nuova legislatura, le risorse finanziarie stanziate sono ancora poche, mentre il modello di sistema di cooperazione che viene proposto con la riforma non affronta nodi importanti".
