27.10.2006 Wwf Italia apre oggi a Roma la due-giorni per festeggiare i primi 40 anni di attività: un'occasione "per fare un bilancio delle attività e lanciare nuove sfide per il futuro a partire dalla strategia per rallentare in modo significativo la perdita della biodiversità in Italia" - riporta l'associazione. Nella sede Luiss Guido Carli di Roma sono stati allestiti spazi utilizzando bambù ‘certificato’ grazie all’aiuto di ‘Emissioni Zero’ in uno scenario che richiama gli ambienti del simbolo del Wwf, il panda. "Nel futuro immediato del Wwf c'è una grande attività di informazione e sensibilizzazione sulle tematiche legate al surriscaldamento del pianeta e alle conseguenze negative; altro filone è la battaglia per la salvaguardia della biodiversità" - afferma Fulco Pratesi, presidente del Wwf Italia che segnala una priorità per il governo: ''va sviluppato l'impegno sulle energie rinnovabili".
