Already many people are facing starvation. If immediate measures are not taken by the state and central governments, the situation may become even worse.

Ankara kuivuus koettelee Somaliaa, erityisesti maan pohjoisosien paimentolaisyhteisöjä. Kaikkiaan kuivuudesta kärsii YK:n mukaan jopa 14 miljoonaa ihmistä koko Afrikan sarven alueella. Solidaarisuus lähettää Somalimaahan apua; järjestön kumppanit järjestävät alueelle esimerkiksi vesikuljetuksia.
